If your physician determines that you need surgical care, he or she may schedule your surgery in the operation room. Many surgical procedures are done as ìday surgeryî, meaning that you will go home on the same day as the surgery. If you do require an overnight staff following surgery, your physician will explain the anticipated length of stay during recovery.

Improvements to the Surgical Services Department include the addition of two new operating rooms and the complete renovation of the four existing operating rooms. The result: a six-room state-of-the-art Operating Suite. The suite will include our cutting edge robotic surgical tools, including the Navigator System for minimally invasive hip and knee replacements and the South Shore's only da Vinci System for minimally invasive urological and gynecological surgeries.
