These changes include reducing cholesterol and blood pressure, integrating regular exercise into your life, and decreasing stress. Let us help you begin a lifetime commitment to maintaining your cardiovascular health.
This program is ideal for patients recovering from heart attacks, heart surgery, angioplasty and/or angina. The program meets 2 times per week with sessions that include therapeutic exercise, stretching/relaxation, and nutrition education. Participants attend educational sessions weekly on topics which include exercise and activities of daily living, stress management, healthy eating, anatomy and physiology of heart disease, risk factor modification, and medications. The multidisciplinary approach includes a team of medical and clinical professionals including cardiologists, registered nurses, physical therapists, registered dietitians, and pharmacists who work together to restore, improve and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle for people with cardiovascular disease.
